Chandigarh: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Haryana as a part of the party's protest on Tuesday to hold a one-day tractor rally against the agriculture laws.
Haryana Congress chief Kumari Selja said in a tweet that the visit of Rahul Gandhi to the state "will be for one day instead of two".
Gandhi will reach Pehowa in Haryana and then go to Kurukshetra. He held programmes in Punjab as part of 'Kheti Bachao Yatra'.
The Congress has been protesting against three agriculture-related laws that have been enacted after passage of relevant bills during the monsoon session of parliament.
Earlier, Haryana Minister Anil Vij said that the Opposition parties have misled farmers for their political gain with respect to the Bills on agriculture sector reforms.
"Any protest march from Punjab will not be allowed to enter the Haryana border. As far as our State's farmers are concerned we have appealed to them that protests should take place keeping in view the time. As a pandemic has spread in the country people can protest, give speeches but should not block roads," Haryana Minister said.
In response to Anil Vij’s statement, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh asked, "Is there a jungle rule in Haryana? Where you can stop anyone you want to."
