Faridabad: A ten-member Special Task Force has been formed after a woman was allegedly shot dead by a man in Ballabgarh on Monday when the victim went to college to appear for her examination. The two accused involved in the incident has been arrested. The accused has been identified as Touseef, a resident of Gurugram, Haryana while other accused Rehan, a resident of Nuh, sent to the police custody for two days.
Faridabad Police Commissioner OP Singh has informed that the case has been transferred to the Crime Branch and two main accused involved in the case has been arrested so far.
While speaking to ETV Bharat, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that the accused has been arrested within 24 hours of the incident. He also assured the family members of providing adequate security to avert any Uttar Pradesh's Unnao like incident where the rape victim's family had to suffer a lot.
Meanwhile, the family members of the girl who was shot dead staged a protest outside their colony demanding killers to be hanged and transfer of the case to a fast track court to get speedy justice.
A complaint against the accused had been lodged by the victim’s family a few months ago for harassment and molestation but a compromise had been reached.
Family members said that the police had been waiting for their daughter to die as no action was taken by the police earlier.
