Chandigarh: On 15th August 1947, when India was separated from Pakistan, several important things were left behind in the newly formed nation. Some documents related to special events about the history of the Indian subcontinent were also left behind in Pakistan. Now there is a strong demand to bring back these documents from Pakistan.
Professor Chaman Lal, a resident of Chandigarh, who is also an advisor to the Bhagat Singh Archive and Research Center in Delhi, has informed that the British had filed two major cases against Bhagat Singh. One was the bomb blast in Delhi Central Assembly Case in which he was sentenced to life imprisonment. The second was of Lahore Conspiracy, where he was accused in the Sanders Murder Case.
Professor Lal said that these papers are with Pakistan and it's very important to bring these documents back to India. He has also written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in this regard, a copy of which has also been sent to the Central government.
