Man arrested in Haryana for raping daughter

A man was arrested in Haryana's Palwal district on a complaint that he sexually assaulted his 17-year-old daughter for several months.

Palwal: Amid an outrage across India over incidents of rape, another case of a man raping his 17-year-old daughter is being investigated in Haryana state.

The man in Palwal district reportedly attacked the girl for months after his wife's death, reports said. The man is said to have threatened the girl not to disclose it to anyone.

The man was arrested on a complaint from the girl's grandparents after she told them about his behaviour.

Rekha, a police officer, said that a case has been registered against the accused.
