Man threatens toll plaza worker with pistol modelled lighter

Police arrested two men who threatened a toll plaza employee with a pistol modelled lighter in Gurugram on Wednesday. A case was registered against the suspects under section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Arms Act at the Kherki Daula police station.

GURUGRAM: Two persons, including a teacher of a private school, have been arrested for allegedly threatening a toll plaza employee with a pistol modelled lighter to demand exemption from toll tax.

The incident took place at Kherki Daula toll plaza at around 9:30 pm. The CCTV footage shows a man getting out of a white car at the plaza and pulling out a gun. He then pushes the boom barriers while his acquaintance gets behind the wheels and the duo drive off without paying the toll.

The incident came to the notice of the police after a video went viral on social media platforms. Accused men were identified as Kashish Lamba (23) from Pathankot, Punjab, and Mohit (27) from Karnal.

A complaint was filed against the accused, Kashish Lamba and Mohit, under the Arms Act and under section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the Kherki Daula police station.

The incident came to police notice after a video went viral on social media platforms.
