Chandigarh: Gopal Kanda, former Haryana minister is all set to start new innings in politics of the state after a Delhi court set aside an order issuing summons to him as accused of allegedly abetting the suicide of former flight attendant Geetika Sharma's mother.
Gopal Kanda had to resign from cabinet minister post in former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda government after he was arrested on charges of abetting the suicide and criminal intimidation of air hostess Geetika Sharma who worked with his now defunct MDLR aviation company.
A year later, her mother Anuradha Sharma also committed suicide in February 2013, and a yet another case of abetment of suicide was registered against him at police station Bharat Nagar.
Kanda, who won election from Sirsa last year as a candidate of his own Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) last year, has expressed satisfaction over the developments in the cases against him and said he was defamed for political reasons.
