Chandigarh: On January 26, farmers protesting against the three agricultural laws took out a tractor parade.

Haryana, which became the centre of the farmers' agitation, also witnessed rough music throughout the day.

The farmers had claimed that they would take out a tractor parade on the routes which were decided previously in a peaceful manner, but the visuals that appeared contradicted the claims.

The uproar started at the Singhu and Tikari borders of Haryana. The peasants broke barricades and entered Delhi with a convoy of tractors. Police had to resort to lathi-charge at many places to stop them from any such violations.

Farmers entered Delhi after breaking barricades

As soon as the parade at Rajpath was over, the Delhi Police opened the barricades as promised, after which the farmers entered Delhi.

Some farmers did not follow the route which was previously agreed between the Delhi Police and the farmers for the tractor parade.

A batch of farmers broke the barricade and reached the Red Fort. At the same time, another batch of farmers also tried to move towards the India Gate.

Lathi charge on farmers on Sikri border

The situation deteriorated to the worst at the Palwal-Faridabad border. Farmers and police came face to face during the tractor parade on the Sikri border.

Farmers tried to remove barricades by tractors. During this time, the police wanted to stop the farmers following which the situation went out of control, the police lathi-charged the farmers fiercely.

Several farmers were hurt during this lathi-charge. Police have registered a case against about two dozen farmers and farmer leaders.

Section-144 has been imposed in Faridabad. Apart from this, wherever the farmers are protesting, Section-144 has been imposed for now.

In view of the farmers' agitation, the Bahadurgarh to Piragadhi metro service was stopped with immediate effect.

All the stations on this route, including Piragadhi, were closed.

Meanwhile, the series of farmers' deaths on the Singhu border does not seem to halt.

On Tuesday, a farmer named Rajesh died. The reason for the death of the farmer is told to be a heart attack.

The farmer has been identified as Rajesh, a resident of Madina village in Sonepat.

Apart from this, during the parade in Delhi, a tractor overturned while performing a stunt. In which the tractor driver died.

A convoy of farmers left for Delhi from Shahjahanpur border in Rewari district, Rajasthan. Yogendra Yadav and social worker Medha Patkar were present with this convoy.

During this, former BSF jawan Tej Bahadur was also present with the farmers.

The convoy of thousands of farmers travelled towards Delhi behind the tractor of former BSF jawan Tej Bahadur. During this, the police force was also present with the farmers.

Politics has also intensified due to the ruckus on Republic Day. Congress leader Ashok Arora said that lathi-charge on farmers during the tractor parade was extremely unfortunate.

Ashok Arora demanded the President to sack the Haryana government and impose President's rule in the state.

Congress state president Kumari Sailja said that the barbarity with which the BJP government has treated our farmers is extremely unfortunate.

My humble appeal to the peasant brothers is to maintain peace and follow the law and order completely.

"When will this fanatic and ruthless government wake up? The government should immediately withdraw the black laws that will suppress and undermine the rights of the farmers," he added.

Despite the assurance that the laws will be amended and would be put on hold for one and a half years, who is still creating ruckus in the capital on Republic Day.
