New Delhi: Amid the reports of factionalism in Haryana Congress, a group of MLAs reached the national capital to have a meeting with the party's state in-charge Vivek Bansal. Nineteen Haryana Congress MLAs held a meeting with Bansal at the party headquarters in Delhi, which lasted for over an hour.
According to sources, these MLAs considered to be close aides of former chief minister Bhupinder Hooda, came out openly against the current Congress state president Selja Kumari, demanding a change in leadership. However, Bansal chose not to comment on the matter after the meeting.

When asked what has been discussed in the meeting today, Bansal said to ETV Bharat, "Municipal elections and Panchayat elections have been announced. MLAs are the pillars of any organization. We can't move ahead without knowing their views. I met them before preparing a strategy for the upcoming elections so that we can apprise the party high command about it."
