Gurugram:The main accused inGurugram's Rajendra Park Murder Case was found dead in the toilet of the jail where he was lodged. It is suspected that the accused Rai Singh had allegedly died suicide in the toilet of Bhondsi jail.
Gurugram SP Preetpal Singh stated that "the investigation into the matter is underway. I got information early morning that Rai Singh has found dead inside the Jail's bathroom."
On Aug. 24 the retired soldier had allegedly killed the family of a tenant living in his house and his daughter-in-law at Gurugram's Rajendra Park area and then surrendered himself before the police.
The police who was searching Rai's house after his statement, recovered Sunita Yadav's (daughter-in-law of the accused Rai Singh) body from a room on the ground floor. While the body of Krishna Tiwari, his wife and his nine-year-old daughter Surbhi were recovered from a room on the first floor. Police also recovered Krishna's daughter, three-year-old Widhi, who was critically injured and admitted to the hospital.
According to the police, Rai Singh had suspected that his daughter-in-law had an illicit relationship with tenant Krishna Tiwari, following which he carried out this horrific incident.
