Gurugram attack: Victim family mulling to leave village

The family who was attacked by a group of men in Gurugram are now mulling to leave the village. The victim family claimed that they have been facing caste based comments by the villagers, which made their lives difficult. They said the police have registered a case against them due to political interference.

Gurugram: Family members, who have been living in fear after being thrashed by a group of men for playing cricket on Holi, are now mulling to leave the village.

However, the victim family said the police have registered a case against them due to political interference.

Rajkumar in his complaint said, "I was going on a bike when a ball hit me. When I objected, I was beaten up by people who were playing there. Some people rescued me. I was admitted in the hospital and when I got to know that I have a case against me, I left the hospital."

The incident took place in Bhondsi area in Gurugram on March 21, 2019. The members of a family were thrashed with sticks and swords by goons after being threatened not to play cricket on the occasion of Holi. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
