Faridabad (Haryana ): Haryana roadways in Faridabad are losing revenue of 4 lakhs every day so far on account of farmers’ protest. The ongoing agitation of farmers against the Central farm bills has adversely affected the operations of Haryana Roadways.
Roadways are already running at a loss of crores due to Covid-19 induced lockdown. If the bus service does not come back on track, then the loss of Haryana Roadways is expected to increase.
Gradually, the wheel of Haryana Roadways started gaining momentum, but simultaneously, Farmers, who are up in arms against three central farm laws, have been staging sit-ins against the agricultural laws and the buses plying on about two dozen routes have been halted.
Most of the closed routes are those routes from where Haryana Roadways gets huge fares. Due to farmer agitation, about 24 buses are not operating from Faridabad bus depot in northern states like Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh.
