Doctor carries pregnant woman to emergency ward amid lack of stretcher in Jind Hospital

A pregnant woman was taken to the Jind Hospital where she was needed to be shifted to the emergency ward. As the hospital was overflowed with COVID patients, her relatives were not getting any stretcher to shift her. Seeing this, a doctor immediately rushed to the woman and carried her to the emergency ward.

Jind (Haryana):It is sheer willpower and commitment to serve humanity that makes a doctor a living God and Dr Ramesh Panchal of Jind Hospital shown a perfect example of that when he himself lifted and carried a pregnant woman to the emergency ward.

As per reports, a pregnant woman was taken to the Jind Hospital where she was needed to be shifted to the emergency ward. As the hospital was overflowed with COVID patients, her relatives were not getting any stretcher to shift her.

Upon seeing this, Dr Panchal immediately rushed to the woman and carried her to the emergency ward.

The doctors immediately attended her but they could not save her as she was anaemic. The victim has been identified as Sonia who was a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Dr Gopal Goyal, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of Jind, said that the victim was an anaemic who was also admitted to Rohtak PGI a few days ago.

"The victim's family had got her treated in different hospitals and today she was brought here as her condition worsened. The doctors here tried their best but unfortunately could not save her," he added.
