Chandigarh: The war of words between Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has intensified. The Haryana CM had earlier accused the Punjab government of fueling the ongoing farmers' movement. After that Punjab CM responded that the Haryana government is working with the anti-farmer agenda. This is the reason why farmers protesting peacefully in Karnal were lathi-charged in a barbaric manner.

The Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has once again escalated the matter and posed eight questions on Twitter tagging the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh. He wrote that Haryana procured 10 crops at MSP and makes the payment directly into the accounts of the farmers. How many crops does Punjab buy from farmers at MSP? He also cornered the Punjab government on Sugarcane prices and wrote, Haryana has been paying the highest MSP in the country for sugarcane to its farmers for the last 7 years. Why has Punjab felt the need to match Haryana only after agitation by farmers?
The war of words between the Chief Ministers of two states are at loggerheads following the recent clashes in Karnal between Haryana Police and agitating farmers.
