Chandigarh:Informing about the complete ban on the sale of crackers in Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar held a press conference on Saturday. He also spoke about the various issues discussed in the monsoon session of the parliament and his stand on them.
Elaborating on the firecracker ban in the state, he said that selling and buying of firecrackers would be prohibited till November 30 and a notification would be issued by Sunday.
The ban comes into effect in the wake of decreasing air quality levels in the state and in the neighbouring Delhi region.
With the onset of winter, the air quality in Haryana, Punjab and Delhi NCR regions starts deteriorating owing to indiscriminate stubble burning and firecrackers for Diwali.
