Gandhinagar (Gujarat):Many political leaders conveniently forget to pay up for the facilities given to them by the state government. One such leader is the chairman of the state government’s Ambedkar Antyodaya Development Corporation who has not paid petrol bill of his car amounting to Rs 2 lakh. Following the default, the manager of the petrol station of Sector 21 of Gandhinagar has blacklisted the politician’s official car and posted the registration number of the vehicle on the fuelling station.
Notice posted on the petrol pump against the politician Though the term of the chairman of Gujarat Thakore Koli Development Corporation expired in January, he has not surrendered his official car to the government. He has not paid Rs 1.50 lakh toward the petrol bill for his official car GJ 18 GA 1808 for the fuel he lifted between October 19 to January 20. Subsequently, the petrol pump has issued a notice.
Chairman of Ambedkar Antyodaya Development Corporation, Gautam Gediya, who is also the general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party’s scheduled caste front, has also not paid his petrol bill. The manager of the petrol station in Sector 21 has pasted a notice on the petrol pump saying his vehicle will not get fuel from the station. His official vehicle is entitled to free petrol up to the limit of 3,000 km in a month and has to pay if the vehicle crosses the limit. The petrol station staff have been instructed not to allow Gediya’s vehicle number GJ 18 GA 2393 to fill the fuel.
Manager of Sector 21 petrol pump Jayantilal Chouhan said all the government vehicles which come to fill the fuel and have not paid their bills have been listed in the notice posted on the petrol station’s notice board, this was not an exception.
