Ahmedabad: Deferring the hearing on Gujarat High Court Advocate Yatin Oza's plea against the stripping of his senior designation, the Supreme court observed today that taking away the senior designation from an advocate is virtually a death penalty.
The bench led by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul was hearing a petition challenging the Gujrat High Court order which initiated a suo moto contempt against him for remarks against the registry and had stripped him of his senior designation. During one of his press briefings, Oza had accused registry of corruption.
