Shah, Nadda congratulate Gujarat new CM on Twitter

In the aftermath of the change of Chief Minister in Gujarat, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda took to Twitter to greet the newly-appointed chief minister Bhupendra Patel.

Hyderabad: In the aftermath of the change of Chief Minister in Gujarat, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda on Sunday took to Twitter to greet the newly-appointed chief minister Bhupendra Patel.

In his tweet, Shah said, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Shri Bhupendra Patel on being elected the leader of the legislature party. I believe that under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state's continuous development journey will get new energy and momentum and Gujarat will continue to be a leader in good governance and public welfare."

A day after the exit of Gujarat Chief Minister and his cabinet, Ghatlodiya MLA Bhupendra Patel was appointed as the next CM of the state. He will take oath on Monday.

Congratulating him on Twitter, Nadda said, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Shri Bhupendra Patel on being elected the leader of @BJP4Gujarat Legislature Party. I believe that under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, you will give new energy and momentum to the development journey of Gujarat and the works of public welfare with full devotion and dedication."

Bhupendra Patel's name was decided unanimously in a meeting of all the BJP legislators held at 3 pm in state BJP headquarters Kamalam, the new leader will meet the Governor and stake claim to form the government.
