Ahmedabad: Ahead of US President Donald Trump's visit to India on February 24, preparations are underway in Ahmedabad for welcoming the US president Donald Trump.
22-Km long road show planned
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has planned a 22-km-long roadshow, the longest in the history of the city.
To make this road show a grand success, the Municipal Corporation convened a meeting of 300 representatives of all religions and institutions who have decided to mobilise people for this mega event. The participants will be in a colourful traditional attire of their respective communities.
People from different states are also expected to come to the city to participate in this remarkable road show which is planned to be taken out from Indira bridge to the newly built world’s largest stadium at Motera.
Over 50,000 people are expected to take part in the roadshow. There are going to be as many as 28 specially erected stages along the 22-km route on which artistes from 28 states will be performing their traditional folk dance and music attired in their traditional costumes.
President Trump and PM Modi will inaugurate the stadium
Those participating in the road show will be carrying the national flags of both USA and India while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will greet President Donald Trump waving India’s tricolour on the latter’s arrival at the Ahmedabad airport.
