Ahmedabad: Two days ahead of US President Donald Trump's visit to India on Feb 23 and 24, to take part in 'Namaste Trump' a similar event as Houston's 'Howdy Modi', preparations are in full swing in Gujarat's Ahmedabad.
On February 24, President Trump is expected to arrive in Ahmedabad to inaugurate the world's largest cricket stadium and is expected to spend three hours in the city.
When US President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will arrive at 'Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport', the Trumps will be welcomed by 22 km long India roadshow with 28 stages representing various states of the nation are being constructed along the stretch.
More than 28 stages have been set up where artists dressed in traditional attire will present folk dances, music and yoga pose.
The artists from 28 states donning their traditional attire will perform their traditional repertory in multiple linguistic language such as Gujarati, Marathi, Rajasthani and more.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has made special parking arrangements for spectators, along with arrangements of providing free drinking water, buttermilk, medical aid and public urinal and toilets along the route.

President Trump is slated to address about 100,000 people at the ‘Namaste Trump’ event jointly with Prime Minister Modi’s home state of Gujarat at the 'Motera Stadium'.
“It will be similar to the landmark ‘Howdy, Modi!’ event hosted by the Indian-American community in honour of Prime Minister Modi during his visit to Houston in September 2019, in which President Trump participated," Foreign Secretary said.
Meanwhile, during his maiden visit to India from February 24, US National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner will be part of a 12-level delegation accompanying the US President.
