Rajya Sabha member Mansukh Mandaviya had recently sought help from the Indian government and informed them that a total of 19 crew members were stuck on board following a tiff between the owner and the agent of a ship.

Dhyey Halwadia is serving on the cargo ship M.V Aizdihar as a marine engineer. The ship has been stranded at the Iranian port of Abbas for the past six months.

Recently a video of Dhyey seeking repatriation had gone viral. It was revealed that crew members are trapped on the ship due to a financial tussle between the shipowner and an agent.

Their documents have been taken by the agent. The crew is facing food and water shortages.
