Hindi is the language that unites India: Sikkim CM

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended an event in Gujarat's Navsari as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' being held by the Government of India to mark the 75th anniversary of India's Independence said that Hindi is the language that unites the nation.

Navsari (Gujarat): Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (Amrut Festival of Independence) at Navsari in Gujarat on Saturday.

On the occasion, the Hindi Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang presented his thoughts saying that the national language unites the country and that it helps put forward the ideas of the patriots.

As India celebrates the 75th anniversary of Independence in August 2022, the Government of India had launched the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to celebrate the occasion with great pomp. Prior to that, the government revived the same procession that was the gateway to India's Independence the 'Dandi March'.

The procession, which began from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad on March 12 with 81 pilgrims, continued on Dandipath and entered Navsari district on Saturday morning.

In the program, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang presented the views of the countrymen, saying that that the national language Hindi unites the country.
