Ahmedabad: Whenever there is a calamity in the country, all leaves of the security forces get canceled and they have to perform their duty 24x7 for the nation. Amid country-wide lockdown, the security forces and police forces have been deployed all over the nation.

A Gujarat State Reserve Police (SRP) officer, named Ronak Kumar Parmar, from Kutch's Bhuj area has been deployed in Ahmedabad for the last one month. He could not reach his village for his daughter's treatment as he opted to remain on duty in this gloomy situation.

In a message to the people through ETV Bharat, the SRP jawan said, "At a time when police, doctor, paramedical staff, firefighters and media persons are risking their life by working outside their homes, you must remain indoors and safe."

"There must be several such incidents in the life of many staff of the security forces which would never get revealed to the public but the only way one can serve the country in times of pandemic is by remaining confined to our homes," Parmar said.

Reportedly, a daughter was born to Parmar's wife on April 1 in his native place in Kutch-Bhuj. Since it was a premature birth, the daughter’s health condition is critical and has been kept in an incubator.

Though Parmar's senior officers told him to visit his village, he opted to remain on duty in Ahmedabad.
