Morbi:Spearheading the setting up of India' largest ceramic plant with a push for ceramic tiles mass production and employment, Sunheart and Oreva groups have joined hands. As both the groups move ahead with a turnover target of Rs 1,000 crore over a period of three years, Morbi, ceramic industry hub is likely to gain a major boost.
The ceramic plant is planned to be set up on 99 acres of land near Samakhiyali near Kutch. "The plant is being set up by a joint venture, after which the production of 51,000 square meters of ceramic per day will start. The completion of the vitrified plant will also create new jobs, which will provide direct employment to an estimated 576 workers, 100 semi-qualified staff and 50 qualified staff as well as 750 people including 24 office staff. In addition, thousands of people will be indirectly employed, including transport and other ancillary industries," said Deepak Parekh, PRO of Oreva (Ajanta) Group.
