Vadodara: The Gujarat government has started the vaccination drive for the age group between 18 and 45 as the country facing the second wave of corona pandemic which has seen a sudden spike in the number of infections and deaths.
While several states are complaining of not getting an adequate amount to vaccination doses, Gujarat's religious leaders have joined hands with the state government and urged chief minister Vijay Rupani to organise vaccination programmes collaborating with the religious institutions of the state.
The young acharya of Vaishnav Inner Faith Pushtimargiya Organisation (VIPO) Goswami 108 Ashraya Kumar and acharya Goswami 108 Sharanam Kumar shared their experience of vaccination with everyone.
Young acharya Goswami 108 Ashray Kumar said, “Today I took the first dose of the vaccine. It was a good experience and was not all painful. It is quite safe. The Pushtimarg teaches us and it is our duty to be devoted to God. Similarly, it is devotion to God to work for the welfare of society. I am perfectly fine and am carrying out my daily routine as usual. I appeal to everyone, especially the youth, to get themselves vaccinated at the first available opportunity without any hesitation. Vaccination is necessary to save ourselves from coronavirus. I hope people are safe and those suffering from corona infection have a speedy recovery.”
Young acharya Goswami 108 Sharanam Kumar said, “After the government began vaccinating people above the age of 18 years, I began my day by taking the vaccine as a responsible citizen. Many people are protesting and treating the vaccine lightly. I appeal to everyone to go for vaccination. It is a must. I rested for a while after taking the vaccine. I am absolutely normal and have been doing all my routine work as usual. Vaccination is not difficult. The pandemic situation has become grave. A very large number of people are dying. Now that we have the option of vaccine, we should grab the opportunity."
