Ahmedabad:The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) issued notices to 150 hospitals in the city, asking them to immediately comply with fire safety norms and apply to get the Fire Safety Certificates within 7 days.
Rajesh Bhatt, the chief fire officer of Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) said that actions will be taken against hospitals failing to produce the Fire Safety Certificate.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, he said that notices were issued in the month of November directing hospitals to obtain Fire Safety Certificate still many have not complied with them.
He said that last month six hospitals were sealed for failing to produce Fire Safety Certificate and as many as 150 hospitals have been instructed to obtain a fire No Objection Certificate (NOC) within a week.
