New Delhi: A youth died by suicide after shooting a 42-year-old woman dead near her house in southwest Delhi's Dabri area on Thursday evening, police said. The victim has been identified as Renu while the accused as Ashish. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harshvardhan said that they received information at around 8:45 pm on Wednesday that a 42-year-old woman was shot dead near her house. Accordingly, a special team of police was rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation, the DCP said.

He said that the visiting police team found that the woman had been shot dead while the assailant had fled from the spot.
