Will not support any party in Delhi election, says SAD

Paramjit Singh Sarna chief of Shiromani Akali Dal said that his party would not support any party in upcoming Delhi assembly election. The National capital will go to polls on February 8th and counting will take place on February 11th.

New Delhi: Spelling out its stand for the forthcoming election to the Delhi Assembly, the Shiromani Akali Dal headed by Paramjit Singh Sarna on Tuesday said it would not support any political party.

Addressing a press conference, party chief Paramjit Singh Sarna said that his support in the Delhi elections will be candidate based. Before supporting any candidate in elections, he will see how committed the person is to the upliftment and ideology of the Sikhs.

He made it clear that any candidate who will have any kind of relationship with the Badal Dal will not get the party's support. The party has also refused to lend its support to the Aam Aadmi Party.

The party chief also said that their support will be project-based, issue-based and candidate-based. He said that the decision to personally support any candidate would be up to the party members.
