Disabled and poor our priority - Union Min Gehlot

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Thawar Chand Gehlot expressed his confidence in the new government and said that the ministry will make many records in the coming tenure. He also said that issues concerning disabled and economically weaker sections of society would be their priority.

New Delhi:Thawar Chand Gehlot, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, created seven Guinness World Records during his previous tenure and he is confident in continuing the legacy.

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Gehlot said that BSP-SP alliance was formed for their own selfish needs in the election and such alliances don't exist for long.

While commenting on reservation-based on economic status Gehlot said, "Ministry is receiving many applications related to the reservation policy. We will try our level best to deliver benefits to those who need it."

"To help disabled and economically weaker sections of society would be our very first task," he added.

Gehlot also commented on the recent events in West Bengal and called Mamata Banerjee as incapable. "She is afraid of BJP that is why she is so harsh on BJP workers there. People will not forgive her," he said.
