New Delhi: A nationwide campaign was launched by the civil society organisations on the occasion of martyr's day to bring back real issues in the election season. The campaign 'My Nation, My Vote, My Issues' aims at creating voter awareness on the issues of unemployment, Agrarian crisis, health, education and environment.
Convener of Swaraj Abhiyan and farmers activist Yogendra Yadav launched the campaign from Shaheed Park in the national capital with hundreds of volunteers from civil society and his political outfit joining him during the campaign.
Talking to ETV Bharat, Yogendra Yadav alleged that the political parties are trying to divert voters' attention from real issues.
"Attempts are being made by the political parties to hijack the general elections as they are trying to shield themselves behind the name of martyrs and the men in uniform, But the real issues like unemployment, Agrarian crisis, environment, health and education were not addressed," he said.
