New Delhi: There is a settlement of Pakistani Hindu refugees near Majnu Ka Tila in the national capital. Hundreds of Pakistani Hindus have been living here for the past 5-7 years.
When Ishwar came to India, he had a dream that he would remain here forever but was obstructed by the citizenship of India.
But, now as the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) passed in the parliament, not only Ishwar but also the other Pakistani Hindus in refugee camps here are celebrating.
A couple from Pakistan, Ishwar and Aarti have been living here for the past 7 years. He came to India with his mother Meeraji and the whole family with a dream of getting citizenship of India. Now, as all their hurdles to get Indian citizenship came to end with CAB passing in parliament, a jubilant Ishwar named his new-born girl child as Nagrikta (Citizenship).
