New Delhi: Expressing regret over the comment of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia wherein he slammed the administration of Delhi University (DU) colleges funded by it for indulging in corruption, Treasurer of Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) Abha Dev Habib has said if he has doubt over something, he could have got it probed before reaching to any conclusion.
Interacting with ETV Bharat here, professor Habib said that the comment was "discouraging and unfortunate" and the Delhi Government not releasing funds for its colleges for the past few months has resulted in a number of problems for teachers and the staffers.
"He expressed concern over ghost teachers. He should have got it investigated and must see the teacher-student ratio in the colleges funded by the Delhi Government," she said, adding that despite all difficulties arising out of not getting paid for the past six months teachers and staffers have been working.
