Sharad Pawar, Lalu Prasad to put Central govt on mat

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, and Bihar Congress leader Akhilesh Singh have met RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in Delhi today. The meeting between the leaders lasted for almost one hour.

New Delhi:Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, and Bihar Congress leader Akhilesh Singh have met RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in Delhi on Wednesday. The meeting between the leaders lasted for almost one hour. Lalu Prasad Yadav is staying at the residence of his daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti in Delhi.

In today's meeting, Lalu Prasad Yadav informed them about his health condition. The current political situation in the country and the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament were also discussed. The leaders also talked about the burning Pegasus spyware issue and three agricultural laws and plans of the opposition to unite and corner the BJP-led central government.

The opposition parties are preparing to take these issues to the people and today's talks were aimed in that direction. The four leaders also discussed about continuing their support to farmers' protest and also to put the govt on mat over rising prices of petrol and diesel besides soaring inflation.

The leaders also talked on whether all the opposition parties should come together to give a tough fight to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. The four leaders also debated about how best to maintain coordination among the opposition parties and be on the same page. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving a sentence in the Fodder Scam, has been released from jail a few days ago after getting bail. His health is not well and that's why he is currently living in Delhi.
