Security guard of RPI leader's house shot at by miscreants in Delhi
New Delhi: A security guard of a farm house of the president of the Republican Party of India (A) in outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar area, was critically injured after two unidentified miscreants opened fire at him on Sunday morning.
The security guard identified as Hari Nath has been admitted to a private hospital here in critical condition.
According to sources, the incident took place at around 9 am when the RPI leader Md Shakeel Saifi was sleeping inside the farm house. The unidentified miscreants enquired about the owner of the farmhouse and the latter opened fire at Hari Nath and fled the spot.
Hari Nath, who sustained bullet injuries on his back has been admitted to a city-based private hospital. A total of 8 to 9 shots were fired.
In this regard, RPI leader, Md Shakeel Saifi said," This attack was to be on me, not on the guard but I was sleeping inside my farmhouse that time. When I heard the gunfire sound, I came out and the unidentified miscreants escaped from the place. There are CCTV cameras but they are not functional. The police reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter. "
However, the cause behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the Delhi police investigating the incident.
