Delhi: Father, son living in car near Pakistan high commission; area beat cop suspended

A 40-year-old man and his son were discovered living in a car parked near the Pakistan high commission in Lutyens' Delhi high-security zone.

New Delhi: A 40-year-old man and his son were discovered living in a car parked near the Pakistan high commission in Lutyens' Delhi high-security zone.

According to police, Gopalakrishnan, a resident of Chennai self-proclaims as a scientist. The duo had been living inside a rented Innova car near Nehru Park in Chanakyapuri for the past seven days. The two appeared mentally ill and gave no proper answers to the cops.

The duo told the police they had recently travelled to the United States and he feels that America's security agencies had implanted microchips in their bodies. In the matter, they had sought protection from the Prime Minister, but there was no response.

The two claimed to have come to Delhi to file a petition regarding America's relations with India.

The two also sat in their car wearing helmets, claiming that removing the helmet caused vibrations to pass through their bodies.

"The duo will be evaluated medically for mental health issues. They had parked their car near the Pakistan Embassy in a parking lot. Narsi Ram, the area's beat officer, has been suspended for negligence in the matter," said police.

Meanwhile, the duo has been handed over to their family.
