BJP alleges scam in recruitment of civil defence volunteer by AAP govt

For the recruitment of Civil Defence, any citizen living in Delhi and is above 18 years can join civil defence by applying to the SDM. The applicant has to submit the police verification certificate along with the necessary documents.

New Delhi:BJP MLA Vijendra Gupta alleged that there is the huge scam in the appointment of councillors and marshals by the AAP govt, the complaint has been filed to the Anti-Corruption Branch demanding an inquiry.

He claims that the Aam Aadmi Party government during Delhi's Assembly Elections claimed to deploy marshals in DTC buses for safety of women but they didn't.

Suddenly as the elections are nearby, the restoration work has been started and AAP has deployed many marshals without proper procedure.

Virendra Gupta, Leader of Opposition told ETV Bharat, "In the election manifesto during Assembly Elections, the AAP government promised to deploy marshals in the DTC buses for women safety. In the last 4.5 years of their governance, none of the security measures was taken from them."

He further added, "Now, as only a few months are left, the government has planned to recruit Civil Defence Volunteer in the buses.

Virendra Gupta said that its a scam of crores of rupees. They have complained to the Lieutenant Governor and to the Anti-Corruption Branch for inquiry.

Also, a large number of residents of other states have got Delhi's residence certificate recently. On August 11 and 12, on the government holiday, one of the district officer's office was open where officers were making Aadhaar cards with fake addresses all day.

Even on Independence Day, Aadhaar Center remained open.

He claims that all of them belong to a particular caste or state and the result of which will effect the unemployed youths of Delhi.

After a complaint against Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP government started covering up the matter.

For the recruitment of Civil Defence, any citizen living in Delhi and is above 18 years can join civil defence by applying to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM).

For this, the applicant has to submit the police verification certificate along with the necessary documents.

After which the SDM office registers their names for civil defence and trains them.

But in the present case, the administration first got them trained without registration and later they were asked to register.
