Residents allege lack of health facilities, raise slogans against Kejriwal

Citing lack of health facilities in government hospitals, few residents in New Delhi blocked the roads and raised slogans against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. They further demanded the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

New Delhi:The Residents of Delhi took to the streets on Sunday against Arvind Kejriwal and State Health Minister Satyendra Jain alleging poor health facilities in government hospitals.

According to reports, demonstrators demanded implementation of the Union government's Ayushman Bharat health scheme in the national capital.

The protestors have alleged that their repeated complaints were ignored by the state administration and hence they decided to block the path of health minister Satyendra Jain.

They also laimed that whenever they visit any government hospital for some treatment, the hospitals are short of medicines, and they have to rely private medical shops for medicines. And despite the availability of testing machines in the government hospitals, they have to rush to a private hospital for these tests.

However, Jain has alleged political conspiracy behind the protests.
