New Delhi/Ghaziabad: Amid heavy rainfall in Delhi since Saturday morning, tents at the various sites associated with the farmers' protest along the Delhi border, including the Ghazipur border, encountered waterlogging. The issue has created a lot of problems for agitating farmers.

Despite heavy rains, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, along with Mangeram Tyagi, NCR president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, visited the protest site and took stock of the situation.

Tikait said that the farmers are accustomed to living in all seasons and will not be troubled by heat, cold and rain.

According to farmer leaders, the agitating farmers are facing a lot of problems due to heavy rains on the Ghazipur border. They said that many tents have been waterlogged.

However, farmer leaders have said that whatever be the weather, their spirits will not be dampened. "We will stand on the Ghazipur border till the central government accepts our demands," they said.

The farmers' protest is about to complete 10 months.
