Prakash Javedkar justifies Modi's remarks against Rajiv Gandhi

Union Minister Prakash Javedkar on Sunday justified PM Modi's remarks on Rajiv Gandhi stating that the late PM had supported the killing of Sikhs in 1984 riots. He also accused Rahul Gandhi of involving in abusive politics and making false claims about the Rafale deal in an attempt to hide their corrupt practices.

New Delhi:Justifying PM Modi's remark on EX-PM Rajiv Gandhi as a 'corrupt' leader, Union Minister Prakash Javedkar supported his statement and said that the 'dynasts' were not able to handle the popularity of the Prime Minister and were baffled over him being the PM for the past 5 years.

Javedkar, here, accused Rahul Gandhi of abusing the PM for the entire year and making false and baseless claims of Rafale deal and said that now when the PM (after a long time) has responded and spoken the truth, there was so much chaos among the dynasty.

Reiterating Modi's statement, he said: "What wrong did he say? Rajiv Gandhi died as a 'corrupt person', since he was not given a clean chit in the Bofors scam. He supported the killing of Sikhs in the 1984 riots that reflected in his statement," he added.

Citing the example of the 'Shah Bano Case', the Union Minister accused the opposition of doing politics on communal lines and also accused Rajiv Gandhi in helping Anderson who was responsible for more than 30000 deaths due to the Bhopal gas tragedy in helping him fled away.

"The dynasts are afraid that BJP's record is cleaner than theirs and that is why they are making false claims about the 'Rafale deal', he said.
