Popular tribal leader Arjun Munda sworn-in as cabinet minister

Jharkhand's former CM and Member of Parliament from Khunti, Arjun Munda took oath as a Cabinet Minister on Thursday. He also thanked PM Modi and Amit Shah for giving him a place in the cabinet.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was formally sworn in on Thursday, for a second straight term in office along with the council of ministers.

Jharkhand's former CM and Member of Parliament from Khunti, Arjun Munda also took oath as a cabinet minister.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Munda asserted that he was grateful to Modi and BJP President Amit Shah for giving me a place in the cabinet.

"I also thank the people of Khunti for showing faith in me and I will keep working for the development of Khunti," he added.

It is to be noted that NDA has won 12 out of 14 seats in Jharkhand. BJP won 11 seats and 1 seat won by its ally AJSU.

Arjun Munda has been the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for three times. He has been elected as a Member of Parliament earlier.
