PM Modi's brother bats for 'Hindu' govt in Delhi

Speaking to reporters about the upcoming Delhi polls, PM Modi's brother Prahlad Modi said that he wanted a government with "Hindu ideology" to be established in the national capital.

Noida (UP): Prahlad Modi, the brother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday batted for a new "Hindu" government in Delhi.

Prahlad Modi, who was in Noida for a private function, spoke to reporters about the upcoming state Assembly polls in Delhi, and said that he would want a government with "Hindu ideology" to be established.

"As a Hindu, I want that government to come in power, which thinks about the well-being of Hindus," he said.

Claiming that AAP members were involved in both the ink attack and 'slap attack' on Arvind Kejriwal in the past, Prahlad Modi indicated that AAP might have been involved in the Shaheen Bagh shooting as well.

On the rising number of controversial remarks being made by leaders in the run-up to the polls, he said, "When the entire pond is spoiled, from where will we get good language."

On being questioned about the nationwide anti CAA-NRC protests, he said that the NRC process began in Assam during the tenure of Rajiv Gandhi as Prime Minister.

He stressed that CAA had no provisions to take away anyone's citizenship, but rather only granted it.
