New Delhi: Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan has urged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to ask Maharashtra government for a probe into the alleged suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Chirag Paswan, who is also a Lok Sabha MP from Jamui in Bihar, said that there have been reports of groupism in Bollywood and some people working against his films and career.
"It needs to be probed," he said, adding that people involved must be punished.
"The Bihar government must ask the Maharashtra government to get the matter probed," he wrote in the letter.
He said a number of young people go out of Bihar for work and the responsibility of their safety and security lies with the Bihar government.
Paswan said he knew Sushant Singh Rajput well and he was a hardworking and sincere man. Controversy about his untimely death must be probed.
The 34-year-old actor killed himself at his apartment in Mumbai's Bandra on Sunday.
