New Delhi: Northern Railway will resume distribution of monthly season ticket from September 3 after a prolonged halt owing to Covid-19 pandemic. The tickets for 23 trains can be booked through the Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counter and mobile application, as per notification issued by Northern Railway.

Passengers can avail season tickets for three months. Currently, season tickets are permitted for particular trains only. Sources said passengers have been paying higher prices due to the non-availability of MST. Daily commuters spend an average of Rs 100 per day for travelling from Delhi to Panipat while MST facility would cut down their expenses. A passenger will have to pay only Rs 285 for the entire month, as per sources.
