New Delhi:As dense fog enveloped several parts of north India on Saturday, over two dozen Delhi-bound trains remained delayed across northern railways due to low visibility.
The fog seems to have affected the smooth running of trains in the northern region. The journey is getting troublesome for passengers who have to spend hours waiting for the trains.
The passengers present at the New Delhi Railway station told ETV Bharat that trains are getting delayed in large numbers but Indian Railways is not keeping them informed about the same.
A commuter- Sheshnath Paswan, who was waiting for the departure of Mahabodhi Express said, "My train is delayed by four hours from the scheduled time and I got to know about the same once I reached here. Moreover, the main problem that we are facing is that we are not receiving information about the delayed arrival and departure time of the trains via SMS."
Angry over six-hour delay, another commuter-Anirudh Tiwari said," I didn't receive any information regarding the rescheduling of the train. I am very hungry as I haven't eaten anything since morning."
