PM Modi can do anything to win elections: Gehlot

Rajasthan CM Gehlot, hit out at PM Modi for his remarks on Rajiv Gandhi, saying PM Modi can do anything to win elections. Accusing Modi, Gehlot said, "Modi does not have anything to campaign on issues related to the country, so he is raising the issue of nationalism."

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi's controversial remark against former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi has prompted sharp reactions from the opposition. The attack on PM Modi was led by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, saying that Modi can do anything to win elections.

While attacking Rahul's father Rajiv, Modi backfired the issue of corruption charges against former PM Rajiv Gandhi in Bofors case. Reacting to this before media Gehlot said, "former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was an innocent leader. Modi is Accusing former PM in an attempt to brighten his own image over the Rafale issue."

"Accusing Prime Minister Modi, Gehlot said that Modi does not have anything to campaign on issues related to the country, so he is raising the issue of nationalism and has nothing to count on his achievements."

Responding to a recent interview of Modi challenging the Congress the party to contest remaining phases of elections in the name of Rajiv Gandhi, Gehlot said, "The PM's remarks on former PM Rajiv Gandhi shows the extent of his desperation and fear of defeat."
