Man tried to molest 11-year-old girl, incident captured on CCTV

A man was caught on CCTV trying to molest an 11-year-old girl in Model Town of Delhi. A case has been registered against the accused.

New Delhi:A shocking incident took place in North Western Delhi area, where a man tried to molest an 11-year-old girl.

The entire episode took place in Model Town of Delhi last Thursday, July 4 and was captured on CCTV.

It can be seen that the girl was playing outside her house when the man suddenly comes riding on a scooter.

"He (accused) befriends the minor and asks her to sit pillion on the scooter. Though the minor declines his offer, she follows him instead. After a couple of yards, the man took her to an empty house and tried to molest her, but the girl soon ran away from the place," the police informed.

The face of the accused has not been identified but the scooter number plate has been captured in the CCTV camera, police said.

A case has been registered against the man, but the police reportedly failed to arrest the accused.

The victim's family said that they will also meet DCP of North West Delhi regarding the issue.
