Ghaziabad:A man here in Chirodi of Loni set his house on fire when his daughters and grandkids were sleeping.
Salim reportedly poured petrol in the room and closed the doors before setting it on fire.
It is said that Salim, who sells fruits was upset as there was no source of income due to lockdown.
Salim's wife Saina said: "Fruit sales has been dull since the beginning of the lockdown and so we are facing financial difficulties. Meanwhile, daughters came back home after their in-laws demanded dowry."
The injured were admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital in Delhi.
SP Deehat Neeraj Kumar Jadoun said: "We are investigating the matter. The father was also suspicious of his daughters having affairs. Things will be clear only once the injured regain consicouness."
