New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has approved the city government's proposal of resuming metro train services in the city.
The much-needed approval was given after a Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendar Kumar Jain.
Last week, the Delhi Metro received the nod from the Ministry of Home Affairs to resume services from September 7 in a "calibrated manner".
After the central government guidelines for Unlock 4, the fourth phase of unlocking, which allowed resumption of metro train services, the DMRC announced that the Delhi Metro will be resuming services from September 7 onwards.
