Jaipur/New Delhi : The Rajasthan Police and the Delhi Police Crime Branch succeeded in arresting both the shooters in the Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi murder case. In a joint operation in Chandigarh, the special team of SIT and Delhi Police has arrested both shooters Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathod. Both the accused will be brought from Chandigarh to Jaipur for interrogation. The action has been carried out on the instructions of ADG Crime Dinesh MN, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph.
According to ADG Crime Dinesh MN, the SIT investigating the case has got a big success. A joint operation was conducted to round up Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathod, the shooters who killed Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Earlier, multiple police teams were searching for the accused in Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and other places.
Raids were being conducted at possible targets. Rajasthan Police was coordinating with the police of other states as well. At the same time, teams of NIA, Military Intelligence and Delhi Crime Branch were also roped in. A reward of Rs 5 lakh each was placed on both the accused.
Earlier on Saturday, the police had arrested the accused Ramveer Jat, a resident of Mahendragarh, Haryana, for allegedly cooperating with both the shooters. Accused Ramveer is a close friend of shooter Nitin Fauji. Ramveer had cooperated with both the shooters in Jaipur. After the murder, both the accused were taken away on a motorcycle.
