New Delhi: The Janata Dal (United) on Tuesday announced that it would contest the election on all 70 Delhi Assembly seats that would go to polls on February 8.
Interacting with media persons, Delhi JD (U) unit chief Dayanand Rai said his party was fully prepared to contest on all seats of the Delhi Assembly.
JD(U) to contest polls without any alliance in Delhi He said that his party is in alliance with the BJP in Bihar, still, they would go alone as far as Delhi elections are concerned.
"We have worked hard in Delhi and are prepared to contest on all seats unless we get an order from higher authority," he said, indicating that in case party chief Nitish Kumar gives an order to contest along with the BJP.
The Election Commission had announced the dates of the polls in Delhi on Monday. The voting would take place on February 8 in a single phase and the counting of votes would take place on February 11.
