New Delhi:Seven Indian nationals have been abducted in Libya. They were reportedly kidnapped while they were on their way to the airport to head to India.
A complaint has been lodged by family members of the kidnapped persons in Prasad Nagar police station of Central District.
According to sources, the central government is in constant touch with the Libyan government to get the kidnapped labourers back. The victims' family members have sought help from the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and the Foreign Minister office.
Lallan Prasad, a relative of abducted Munna Chauhan Those kidnapped have been identified as Mahendra Singh, Venkitrao Batchala, Sah Ajay, Umedibrahim Bhai Multani, Danayya Bodhu, Munna Chauhan and Jogarao Batchala.
All of them had gone to Libya a year ago to work as iron welders in Libya on behalf of ND Enterprises Company located at Rajendra Place.
Lallan Prasad, a relative of Munna Chauhan, said that the latter had gone to Libya a year ago to work along with the six others. "On 17 September, his flight was to reach New Delhi via Istanbul, Paris from Tripoli Airport in Libya. They all left for the airport from their company when the unknown criminals kidnapped all of them," said Lallan Prasad.
